Neat unit in our big bedroom, we loved it. The restaurant had plenty of fabulous meals for breakfast.
Didn't like the staff, some of them were very rude.

The room had a surprisingly spacious bathroom, giving a sense of luxury that wasn't echoed in the rest of the space. The central location made it easy to explore the local area between visits up to the bar.
Parking is a bit challenging, with only six spaces available for the entire hotel. The heating couldn't be turned off, resulting in an uncomfortable warmth in the room, exacerbated by the lack of air conditioning. The bed felt cramped. Anyone over six feet tall might find themselves sleeping on the floor for comfort. Breakfast turned into a disaster, with loads of flies buzzing around, and the food was left out. I struggled to check in due to a faulty self-service system, and being sent to an area blasted by motorcycle racing was less than relaxing. There's a clear need for more attention to cleanliness, especially in shared areas.

Within walking distance of the Marina and Museum
The restaurant staff were slow in serving and at times didn't bring what had been ordred and had to be reminded.

That's a wonderful old and excellent value place when visiting Hartlepool for shopping. Good natured and attentive staff here at the reception desk. The location is ideal - minute walk from the train station. Exceeded my expectations, I would stay here again.

Perfect for a city break if you're not too picky
The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the food at the attached Indian restaurant was fantastic! I couldn't believe the price for the meals we had. Definitely worth it, even went there twice !
It wasn't exactly inexpensive though, but you get what you pay for.

Overall standard was very good, and staff were excellent. Food was plentiful and of a good standard. Good central location for visiting Hartlepool. Only adverse comment is that only one bath towel was left available for a triple room, and shaving mirror did not work.

when i booked online i stated i wanted a twin room, i phoned the hotel 2 days before to confirm booking they had down a double room, was told it was changed, guess what when i got to the hotel after a hard days work, a double room was given, BUT the member of staff on the check in gave me a complimentry room. Happy
I wish on a weekend breakfast could start to be served from 7.30, i had to be at the site i was working at for 8.00 so missed it.

The warm greeting by the receptionist and the spacious executive room made our stay enjoyable, but the slow Wi-Fi and the noise from outside were quite distracting.

Good central location, friendly staff, pleasant rooms, good food (we tried lunch and breakfast).
The parking arrangements were less than ideal. We had a ticket entitling us to park in reserved bays in the street nearby. I was early enough to get a space but soon all the spaces were taken so I felt that if I used the car there would be no space when I returned later so I took a taxi instead (rank conveniently outside the hotel). This was a bit galling given there is a reasonably sized, off-road car park attached to the hotel which was half empty and presumably reserved for staff.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in order to catch up with family and friends. I have stayed here in the past several times before the refurbishment and always enjoyed my stay until now.I found the hotel to be less than clean although my room was clean the communal area left a lot to be desired .The Lift was very dirty and also very noisy and cranky and did not instil confidence. The Room was very hot even though the radiator was off and opening the window was a nightmare. The bathroom was ok except that I could not have a bath as I could reach neither taps or plughole.
Too hot and checkin was very sloppy.Room service was good and very quick but it took three members of staff to bring a tray of fish and chips and a glass of coke.

On site parking in busy town centre was a bonus. Good breakfast menu with attentive staff
Main hotel bar after hours was open to public, some of whom where the worse for wear (Drink wise) creating slightly uncomfortable atmosphere.
